emergency appeal
please pray with us for student ministry in areas of conflict
In God's economy, a broken relationship shakes the entire cosmos. A healed and restored relationship yields ‘a harvest of righteousness’ (James 3:18), contributing to God's redemptive work, his commitment to restore the whole of creation to wholeness. Redeemed relationships are, in fact, at the very core of the gospel.
Barrett Horne, IFES Regional Secretary for Eurasia
Students are affirming their unity in Christ and living as agents of reconciliation in a world that desperately needs to know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The students in whose lives we invest are the seeds of God's Kingdom being sown across the world. As such they need our fervent and continued support in prayer.
- Please pray for Christian students in Georgia and other regions threatened by conflict, that in the face of tragedy they would offer real hope to their fellow students, and that it may lead to a revival of true faith.
- Please pray for effective rebuilding – not only of buildings where they have been damaged or destroyed, but also of lives. Pray that IFES students and staff will not be discouraged by what they see around them, but have renewed vision for sharing the gospel and shaping their nations.
- As an international fellowship, IFES spans geographical, social and cultural boundaries. Please pray that Christian students everywhere would love each other across these boundaries – standing firm in their commitment to Jesus and his restorative Kingdom values.
- Pray for wisdom about how to minister Jesus’ peace and hope in all situations of conflict. Pray for peace.
Shout for joy, O heavens;
rejoice, O earth;
burst into song, O mountains!
For the LORD comforts his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
Isaiah 49:13
urgently needed support
- Please would you also consider making a special gift towards strengthening student ministry in areas of conflict. It is our prayer that students and staff would be able to plan their ministry for the next year without having to worry about raising the funds they need, that they can give their energy to impacting the University, the Church and society for the glory of Christ.
