Pray for GBUT Togo as they work at setting up a cell programme in 2012 in various residential areas that will allow friends and supporters of the movement to function locally. Pray this initiative would help expand the existing friends and donors network throughout the country in order to strengthen the work among students
Pray for InterVarsity USA staff and students as they seek to minister to art students around the country. ‘Imagine the young artist who embraces the cross and comes alive, for the first time, in the arms of her heavenly Creator... This week an IFES staff worker is travelling to a country in the Persian Gulf to explore the possibility of relaunching a student movement there. Pray as he meets with a local volunteer to plan for the future, and that good contacts would be made with local churches and students during this visit. (February 14-21)
Give thanks to God for raising up a local leader to take over the position of Central Asia Coordinator. This is the first time that someone local has had this post. Pray for the staff team as they adjust to his leadership, and for his supervision until he officially assumes the role in June.
Pray for staff in Malta as they try to make the most of opportunities to reach out to students on campuses, through conversations, events and Christianity Explained courses - pray that they would find in the Bible many of the answers to their questions. Pray also for a spirit of power, love and discipleship amongst the few Christian students there.
