caribbean: cultures in need of Christ
God's beauty is reflected in the landscape of the Caribbean, in the spirit of the IFES student groups and their contagious love for Christ. In stark contrast is the corruption, poverty and violence gripping the lives of many individuals.
Too many are facing challenges that are unbearable, while we have the ultimate answer in our hands. There are countless initiatives we can employ to help, but we need your heads, hearts, and hands.
Stevenson, General Secretary of the IFES movement in Jamaica
IFES groups in the Caribbean are in a unique position to help students bring gospel hope to bear on the difficult problems that surround them.
» respond now to give students in the caribbean hope for the future
Here are three ways in which your prayers and gifts can help students in the caribbean:
create confidence
Each year, students are challenged to commit to praying for and sharing the gospel with three of their friends. There is a crucial need for resources that present the gospel in a relevant way.
create vision
IFES groups in the Caribbean are running a major mission initiative this year, with students travelling from Guyana to the British Virgin Islands, from Trinidad to Grenada, from Martinique and Guadeloupe to St Martin. Please pray that these students will catch the vision of God’s love for all people as they help launch new Christian student groups.
create hope for the future
Students need trained leaders to help them know and love God’s Word and to understand the significance of the gospel for their context and their generation.
Together we can help students in the Caribbean live out their identity in Christ and to serve him as life-long disciples.
A gift today will shape a leader for tomorrow.
